Chef
A Cactus Club Cafe Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, and more specifically:
- Motivates kitchen staff to ensure that Every Customer Leaves Happy™
- Serves consistently excellent food to our exact specifications and within our time standards
- Cooks on line, working various stations
- Supervises food safety through HACCP guidelines
- Manages food, labour and other kitchen-related costs
- Oversees inventory and ordering, tracking total purchases, meeting budget targets and conducting food cost analysis
- Manages prep inventory and audits, reviews counts, and ensures quality
- Supervises menu rollouts and product updates, including training and quality control
- Implements repair and maintenance programs for kitchen equipment
- Recruits quality culinary professionals, using effective hiring methods, and promoting continuous hiring
- Produces quality candidates for future leadership positions to support our future growth plans
- Communicates kitchen standards to front-of-house staff
- Provides creative input and menu feedback to Operations
