Cactus Teams up with Lululemon Fundraiser

Lots of fun at the 5th annual lululemon Flip Flop Soiree last week as the sun shone and the guests tried to outbid each other. This was a fundraiser for the Centre for Integrated Healing and the Cactus Club Cafe was proud to be a major sponsor.
As guests arrived, they were offered signature Bellinis as they perused the silent auction and made their way to the exotic and lush backyard garden in Shaughnessy.
Cactus' Executive Chef Julian Bond kept the guests well-fed with a menu of minature grain-fed Beef Burgers, Seared Tuna Poke, Organic Salad Greens, Vegetable Tacones (organic romaine heart cups filled with seared Okanagan tofu, mildly spiced crunchy Asian Slaw and pea shoots), Bocconcini and Grape Tomato Skewers, Gazpacho Shooters and Wild Mushroom Alsation Tarts, which are flaky pastry tartlets with sauteed wild B.C. mushrooms and carmelized and hand-picked garlic flowers.
Guests at this summery charity do were lululemon's Chip Wilson, Cactus Club's Richard Jaffray, Sarah and Murray Bancroft, P.R. Tara Parker-Francis and Bell's David Hoff.
More than $80,000 was raised for the Centre for Integrated Healing that evening. The festivities lasted well into the evening with great food, great drinks and dancing.
Dancing will do it every time!!
