Calgary’s 46th Annual White Hat Awards Honour Staff from Cactus Club Cafe

Cactus Club Cafe is pleased to announce ten of their staff members were recognized this past week as finalists for the White Hat Awards held at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary. The prestigious awards, hosted by Tourism Calgary honour outstanding achievements by individuals in the tourism, hospitality, and food service industries.

“One of the key elements to Cactus Club is our exceptional service and we are really proud of our staff’s commitment to creating unparalleled experiences,” says Director of Operations, Andrew Latchford. “We are honoured to have our staff recognized by the White Hat Awards for their contributions to our restaurants and to the industry in Calgary.”

For the Best Server, Restaurant – North category, presented by WHERE Calgary: Cactus Club Barlow staff Julia Marshall, Mikyla Hall and Kimberly Kaspick swept all three finalist spots, with Kaspick emerging as the overall winner. At the awards presentation, she received a white hat, a symbol of Calgary’s renowned hospitality, as well as a trophy and Sterling silver pin. Nichole Nesbitt of Barlow was also a finalist in the Best Hostess – Restaurants category. Also nominated for White Hat Awards from Barlow were Avalon Bastion (Best Hostess), Brittany Boyer (Best Bartender), Dallas Poscente (Best Server – North), Tiffany Schollaardt (Best Server – North), Brian Castongauy (Best Bartender), and Amanda Morcom (Best Bartender).

Since 1961, through the Calgary White Hat Awards program, peers recognize industry partners for outstanding customer service in the hospitality and tourism industry in various categories. This year, over 100 industry representatives volunteered their time to interview the 364 nominees.
