Cactus Club is proud to announce that Bar Operations Manager Sam Zavari is a current nominee for the Vancouver International Playhouse Wine Festival’s prestigious Sommelier of the Year Award.
Sponsored by the International Sommelier Guild of Canada, the Sommelier of the Year Award recognizes working sommeliers who consistently demonstrate an outstanding passion for marrying wine with food and a dedication to exceptional service.
Zavari, who has been with Cactus Club for 10 years, has lead the development and growth of Cactus Club’s general wine program and in particular, at the Bentall V flagship location.
“To be nominated alongside some of the most talented people in our industry is an honour,” says Zavari. “I am proud to be representing Cactus Club as this award is truly a reflection of their dedication to quality and expertise.”
