Green Thumbs to Green Tables

Green Thumb, originally uploaded by fleagirl_125.
At Cactus Club, we take our green thumb seriously…

So seriously, that we recently removed our hygolet seating in our washrooms. By making this simple change, we have effectively eliminated thousands of kilometers of non-recyclable plastic from local landfills and in the process have saved oil and energy!

This is hardly Cactus’ first foray into the world of green-living, however. As the first multi-unit restaurant group in Canada to become approved members of the Green Table Network Cactus Club Cafe has blazed the path to sustainable, green practices – even the smallest “green” opportunities do not go unexplored!

The Green Table Network (GTN), is a Vancouver-based not-for-profit organization, helping food service operators integrate sustainability into both their menus and their establishments as a whole. Cactus Club was one of the first companies to work with the GTN to establish industry benchmarks when GTN was brand new on the scene!

Thus I present to you, Cacti-fans: what do you think Cactus Club’s next green initiative should be?
