We are excited to share with you the success of the Coquitlam community’s fundraising efforts to support the family of Charlene Reaveley. Charlene, a wife and mother of four young children, had her life tragically cut short while helping out at the scene of an accident this past February.
Last Wednesday, Cactus Club Cafe in Coquitlam hosted “Nothing But Pink” – A Fundraiser for the family of Charlene Reaveley.
The sold-out event was tremendous success, raising $27, 663, which will go directly to the trust set up for the Reaveley family.
The volunteer-run event, named in honour of Charlene’s favourite colour, included some unique opportunities to help boost the funds raised beyond staff donations and event ticket sales, including “In Spirit” tickets for those who were not able to attend the event, but wanted to donate and be present “in spirit”, a silent auction open to both attendees and the general public and a 75/25 draw – which saw 75% of proceeds donated to the cause and 25% to the draw winner.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who showed support, as well as those who volunteered their time to make this evening a success. This event really exemplified the true meaning of community – a community we are proud to be a part of!
