World Oceans Day

Join us this June to celebrate World Oceans Day! From June 1 – 17, order from our special Ocean Wise menu and a portion of proceeds will go directly to Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise sustainable seafood program.

World Oceans Day, officially on June 8, is an international celebration of our world’s most important resource: the oceans! Not only do these vast bodies of water connect us all, but they help to feed us, generate oxygen, and regulate our climate. Not to mention, who doesn’t feel a little more peaceful after a day at the beach, listening to waves crashing… We may not all be Walt Whitman, but I’m sure we all feel a little more poetic by the sea shore.

At Cactus Club we’re doing our part to ensure that the creatures in the oceans continue to prosper. Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program helps restaurants seek out and obtain sustainable seafood – something we strongly believe in. Now you can enjoy our delicious Soy-Dijon Ocean Wise Salmon and feel good about it: I call that ‘having your cake (fish) and eating it too.’

Cactus Club Cafe is proud to get our Salmon from the cool, deep waters of Lois Lake. Watch our site visit to this Ocean Wise approved facility:
