Vancouver Pride Parade 2011

This past Sunday, Cactus Club Cafe hit the streets of Vancouver to celebrate the 33rd Annual Vancouver Pride Parade in support of Vancouver’s LGBT community. Although we’ve been around for a quarter century, this was Cactus Club Cafe’s first ever appearance in a parade of any sort and we were thrilled  for our debut to be at the ever-popular Pride Festival.

Our float was adorned with three foot tall bellinis, disco balls, and a dance floor, but more impressive was a our dance crew: all Cactus Club Cafe employees – from Hostesses to General Mangers – fearlessly danced their way through the West End, stimulating the crowd in more ways than one.

Cactus Club Cafe employees from all levels were involved in the creation and execution of our first fabulously flirtatious float, and we were happy to have our President, Richard Jaffray, show his support of Vancouver’s Pride Festival by walking alongside his company’s rocking float. Richard was joined by many other Cactus Club Cafe walkers, from our Director of Marketing and her beloved dog Bo, to a number of our Restaurant and Head Office employees.

Thank you to everyone who made it out to watch Vancouver’s Pride Parade this year, and thank you to the Vancouver Pride Society for hosting such a fabulous event! Although our dancers have put their short shorts away and our bellini glasses have been emptied, the spirit of Pride will be with us until next year – then we’ll be ready dust off our thigh masters again.
