Saskatoon Idylwyld Drive marks 26 locations in 26 years

(Vancouver, BC) – Cactus Restaurants Ltd. is pleased to announce the official opening of its Saskatoon location on Idylwyld Drive today, the company’s first location in Saskatchewan. Situated in the heart of downtown Saskatoon, this stunning location is the 26th restaurant for the award-winning restaurant collection renowned for its addictive flavour profiles, upscale service and sophisticated design.

The menu at Cactus Club Cafe Saskatoon is designed by executive chef Rob Feenie, one of Canada’s most celebrated chefs and its first Iron Chef America champion. Chef Feenie leads the talented culinary team, to create a menu that is globally inspired and features fresh, sustainable, and wherever possible, local ingredients. The Cactus Club Cafe Saskatoon menu will allow guests to discover new flavours and also enjoy classic Rob Feenie Signature Dishes including: the spaghettini with Kobe-style meatballs topped with a rich roasted tomato sauce, truffle mushroom cream and fresh ricotta cheese, double-braised pineapple hoisin short ribs, soy-dijon salmon, and sustainably sourced Ocean Wise™ tuna tataki.
Pairing with the menu’s innovative offerings, the beverage program, designed by sommelier and service director Sebastien Le Goff transports guests on a tour around the world with notable wines and exotic cocktails. The wine program includes bold, refreshing, and intricate wines that highlight Canada’s growing wine industry, old world gems, and new world discoveries for guests to explore.
The restaurant features over 6500 square feet of casually chic ambience, including screen print artwork by Andy Warhol and Brent Comber. The location also highlights signature light installations by Poul Henningsen (Louis Poulsen Artichoke lights) and Omber Arbel (Bocci 14 Pendants).
With 240 seats inside and 100 seats on an enclosed patio Cactus Club Cafe Saskatoon is poised to be the city’s newest dining hot spot.
