Fall Flavours Favourites
(AKA: The Triple F)
As the weather turns colder and cheeks turn rosier, we’ve done our due diligence by sourcing out five Cactus favourites that you’ll fall head over heels for.
1. Butternut Squash + Prawn Ravioli
What could be more delicious than the comfort of ravioli on a brisk autumn night? Try our famous butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli, topped with truffle butter sauce, sautéed jumbo prawns and pine nuts. We’ll even throw in crispy sage for good measure.
2. Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
Like a cozy flannel jacket, this revamped classic dish will keep you warm and snuggly in your happy place. But unlike a cozy flannel jacket, the creamy concoction of butternut squash, apple curry foam, basil oil and black pepper croutons will charm even your finickiest of taste buds.
3. Steak Frites
Well done. These are the very words you’re likely to utter after devouring this tantalizing dish. Suffice to say, we’ll prepare your meal to your exact mouthwatering specifications and preference, so that you can enjoy every scrumptious bite like it’s your very last. Until your next visit, anyway.
4. Beef Carpaccio
Rob Feenie’s signature fall feature – inspired by the Venetian classic – is too tantalizing for words. But since you’re reading this, we’ll attempt to do this dish justice by telling you how it combines thinly-sliced, five peppercorn-crusted AA beef, garnished with grainy Dijon aioli, crispy capers, pickled shallots and Grana Padano cheese – all topped with fresh, peppery baby arugula and who knew reading could be so appetizing? Served with five pieces of our locally made roast garlic crostini. In a hyphenated word: to-die-for.
5. Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps
When a lettuce wrap is this flavourful, you could very well forget that you’re eating lettuce altogether. But the flavourful and colourful concoction that is tender chicken, sweet and spicy glaze, Szechuan peanuts, wontons, Korean chilli sauce, and spicy yogurt – that’s something you’ll remember long after autumn disappears.
