Cactus Club Cafe and Make-A-Wish® celebrate Sweet Dreams Dessert Week
Cactus Club Cafe is excited to kick off our annual ‘Sweet Dreams Dessert’ week. From April 13-27, $1 from every take out dessert sold at all Cactus locations will be donated to Make-A-Wish®.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® helps to grant wishes for children living with life-threatening medical conditions. Last year, we had the honour of meeting Kate Maguire, a 19 year-old from South Surrey who was diagnosed with Germinoma, a type of tumour that affects the brain. Her original wish was to visit the beautiful islands of Hawaii however, due to Covid-19 and travel uncertainties, Kate changed her wish to an ‘Outdoor Adventure Package’ since she loves the outdoors!
To grant Kate’s special wish, the Make-A-Wish® team of volunteers surprised her at home setting up her front lawn with camping gear, paddle boards and her favourite snacks. Kate and her mom enjoyed the perfect staycation at home with their Outdoor Adventure package roasting marshmallows in the backyard and taking the paddle boards out for a spin the next day.
Proceeds from all take out and delivery sales of Cactus Club Cafe’s signature desserts, at all locations across the country, will be donated to this special cause. To help make a child’s wish come true, take any of our desserts to go this week!
